The meeting takes place between the 18th and 19th of October in the Austrian capital, and it lays the foundation for an initiative spearheaded by Cullera, further expanding its expertise in European projects, as emphasized by the local authority.
The Mayor has also recalled that “precisely, this was one of the objectives of opening the Cullera European Office, which was launched during the previous term, being the first one in the region.” Since then, the town has secured European funding exceeding several million euros. This economic injection has also helped drive and promote the economy in various sectors such as sports and tourism.
In this case, it is worth highlighting Cullera’s experience in the inclusive rugby world, with notable actions such as the International Inclusive Rugby Festival. This initiative is organized in collaboration with Trust Rugby International Spain, with the participation of the Espurna Association and volunteers from the Cullera Rugby Club. Last September, the festival celebrated its fourth edition in the tourist capital.
The European program, which aims to integrate all individuals into a healthy social environment through rugby practice, will conclude with a closing festival in September 2022 in Cullera. These countries, along with various special guests of significant international rugby importance, will participate.
